Ever wanted to do a activity or do a specific experiment, but money is a problem? Well, luckily–Ann Bancroft is here to help. Ann Bancroft is based in Minnesota, and is the first female to trek across Antarctica. Sounds super awesome, right? She is!
Additionally, she empowers females through offering mentor programs. People are eligible to apply to be a mentor, while preference is given to Minnesota residents. As a mentor, the main goal is to help your mentee realize her potential.
On the other end of the spectrum, if you are a mentee, two grants are available through the foundation. The first grant, the Dare to Dream grant, is open to girls in grade 4 through 12. This grant is aimed to help fund art, cultural, and educational endeavors. Second, is the Let Me Play grant. This grant is aimed at girls in kindergarten through twelfth grade, to help pay for participation fees for sports and clubs.
If you are interested, applications are accepted twice a year. The next application deadline is October 1st, 2019.
